After my wife left for work this morning, I decided to have a piece of toast. Sometimes, I just like a slice of toast with real butter and strawberry preserves.

As I lifted the cover of the butter dish, there they were. TOAST CRUMBS from where my wife had buttered her own toast. And I smiled. Literally.

Earlier this year was that moment, which I've written about elsewhere, where my wife met me at the back door having just come home from a doctor visit, and told me "I have cancer".

We've been through a lot, and she is a cancer survivor and doing so much better.

But, as much as I have always HATED "toast crumbs in my butter", they actually make me smile now.

It means Mrs. CP is still up and around!
