Ditto that. There have been too many cases where teens and pre-teens were put on anti-depressants and it caused them to commit suicide, or attempt to. Seems it has the reverse effect of what was intended in brains before a certain level of development.

I hope you find a solution that works. I'm praying.

My DD, age 10, has been working with a therapist for several years and was diagnosed with depression this week. She gets into these moods where she thinks everyone hates her and can't be convinced otherwise. The T recommended that she try antidepressants so we are in the process of getting a prescription.

Meanwhile, I too have been in therapy for several years and just started an antidepressant (generic Effexor) today.
