There's a dear older lady from my small group who's been on a ventilator in ICU for weeks, with COVID. Our church staff has sent out an urgent prayer request. Her husband says only a miracle could save her now. This couple has been nothing but a blessing to our church family since joining around the time I did -- I actually went through new member orientation with her. Both are remarried after their first spouses passed (her first husband was a minister). We've been praying for weeks but there's been no change in condition. Please say a prayer for her, and if the Lord sees fit to call her home, her husband. I can only imagine the heartache he would experience at the passing of not just his first, but his second wife as well. Thanks guys.

COVID positive member of my church family, right on the edge of death
"If you believe, take the first step, it leads to Jesus Christ. If you don't believe, take the first step all the same, for you are bidden to take it. No one wants to know about your faith or unbelief, your orders are to perform the act of obedience on the spot. Then you will find yourself in the situation where faith becomes possible and where faith exists in the true sense of the word." - Dietrich Bonhoeffer, The Cost of DiscipleshipTags: None

Hey everyone, just wanted to provide an update. Last week this lady's husband had started to plan for a funeral. The hospital allowed the family to visit her, and she's had a sudden turn. They're working to get her off the ventilator and progress is fast enough that they're now making plans to transition her to a lower level of care. Just wanted to comment on a demonstration of the power of prayer.
But please do keep praying, she's got a long road to full recovery ahead of her. Thanks for praying, everyone."If you believe, take the first step, it leads to Jesus Christ.
