Missing my dad

Now you get to pass those things on to your son - things you and your father enjoyed together as well as the opportunity to tell your son about his granddad.

I have no major regrets with my dad--we were on good terms when he passed away and had a very solid relationship. Still, there are a bunch of things that I just miss doing with him.
I wish I could play chess with him (and lose), I wish I could talk to him about politics and theology, I wish he could meet my wife and kids, I wish I could watch a Boise State football game with him....
Edit: I wish I could hear him preach again, too.Last edited by Zymologist; 03-02-2015, 12:34 PM.

Zymologist: I'm sure he would have been pleased and proud. But don't worry in due time you'll be able to tell him all about it.

Missing my dad
My dad's been gone for almost five years now, but naming my son after him has made me miss him a lot more lately. The other night I was trying to imagine what his reaction would have been if I introduced his grandson to him, with his name.
I'm just missing my dad today.Tags: None
