I never realized TWeb was such an old website. A lot of the stuff I remember from way back is long gone.

I think it was in 2005, but I wasn't able to find evidence to support that. That crash was "only" a week long, though, and we recovered everything.

You really miss Drachronicler, don't you?

I'm always still in trouble again

"You're by far the worst poster on TWeb" and "TWeb's biggest liar" --starlight (the guy who says Stalin was a right-winger)
"Overall I would rate the withdrawal from Afghanistan as by far the best thing Biden's done" --Starlight

I was a lurker for a couple years, maybe two, then signed up in 2018. So I've only been here for a quarter of its lifespan.

But listening to people like Juvenal (who calls everybody "newbies") I thought TWeb must have started in 1950.

He's referring to the original Theologyfax from the mid 80s.

I've been trying to work out how long I've been here. Maybe 18 months/2 years before DeeDee called it quits.

And before that Theologyletters, which succeeded Theologycuneiform which was founded by mossrose in 3500 BC.

I still have a copy of the first thread.

That one didn't last very long. Wind kept blowing away all the threads.

Reading him was entertaining if nothing else.

Jokes aside his posts are why I didn't join when I saw the board the first time. It wasn't until I saw jpholding recommend TWeb that I decided to join.

I saw JPHolding recommend TWeb when it first started, but it took me a few months to join.

He did, I just didn't find his website until much later after that happened.

                              I found Tektonics (and https://www.christianthinktank.com/) around 1999 or 2000.

I joined because of the link on Tektonics.
